FEARXWONDER is “defying death, unmasking darkness”

This might be one of the most unique article headlines you’ve seen in the shape of a spotlight for an artist, but stick with me. FEARXWONDER is a collective I discovered on Instagram, and they’ve definitely got one of the most unique aesthetics I’ve come across in the underground scene.

Consisting of a bunch of different members - CALEB777, SHADE, Gone D’arc, 4GIVEN, RXPXNTMANE, wretchmane, and KXINGXCLUTXCH - they’re a group that makes super dark, grimy music.

Carrying a lot of religious themes and motifs within their music. It’s something I absolutely respect, and something that their newest single, ‘SENDME2THEAFTERLIFE,’ is a good representation of.

The photo to the right of this paragraph is the cover art to their newest single.

It’s almost haunting, and the beat is super dark and industrial. Of the entire collective, the artists that feature on this one are KXINGXCLUTXCH, wretchmane, and CALEB777. It’s a close to 4 minute song that features that brooding, dark sound all throughout it.

CALEB777 has noted his inspirations, in production, coming from the likes of Bon Iver, My Bloody Valentine, Spacehghostpurpp, and lyrically, Kid Cudi and The Devil Wears Prada.

His songs from 2018 and 2019, “Father Forgive Me” and “Don’t Give Up,” have some crazy motion, with the first having over 500k streams on Spotify and the latter having 140K streams.

It’s really cool seeing how each of the members within the group bring their own flair, culminating in an entire track sounding unique from one another. In the case of “SENDME2THEAFTERLIFE,” which I think is a great representation of their sound, it has resulted in a sound that is ultimately dark, brooding, and super mysterious.

If you’re a fan, check it out with the links below as well as FEARXWONDER. Love y’all. <3
