This artist is the future of experimental music…
Kenny Koughs is an Underground Florida artist who has never been afraid to experiment and explore new creative elements within his music. Releasing music dating back to 2019, he has shown constant evolution in his sound and image over the years, and is showing no signs of stopping.
With this, Kenny recently dropped his new album with GasWhatWeSmoke, titled “MOONBOI”. This project is made up of 8 tracks, all of which consist of a unique, experimental approach to the production and vocals, making it fresh and unlike anything else out right now.

To start things off, track 1 titled, ‘AHH Go Crazy’, begins to set the tone as soon as you press play on the album, with the anthemic synths and unique drum sequencing. Then, in comes Kenny's vocals, which suit this track insanely well. The tone of his voice mesh perfectly with the synth melody, and his flow coincides with the cadence of the drums, making this track insanely smooth. Then, another track that must be discussed is track 3, titled ‘BULLA’. This song features a take on Jersey club production, with Kenny’s own unique twist to it. With the mix of atmospheric melodies and the punchy drums, it sets a perfect canvas for Kenny to lay his vocals down on, and he does just that.
Another standout track off of this album is ‘18.50/hr’. This track is a perfect example of Kenny’s experimentalist approach to his music. This song contains melodic synths once again, however this time, the drums are in the style of the drum and bass genre. By means of this, it is on full display how versatile Kenny is and how willing he is to push boundaries.
