This artist is putting his country on the map…
Over the years, we have seen the rise of many artists from all over the map. No matter the region of the world, new music is being released every day, and with that we have watched a lot of international creatives blossom into stars. Meet one of these newest stars, TheGoldenWayUp. Hailing from Belgium, TheGoldenWayUp has been releasing music for a few years now, and is looking to put his country on the map.
He recently dropped his newest mixtape, titled “Abaddon”. This project consists of 9 songs, all of which fall into a mix of the trap and R&B categories. TheGoldenWayUp manages to take the likes of both of these genres and mix them together with his own creative spin, turning this project into something special.

Starting with the intro track, ‘Tainted’, this song contains smooth melodic production and vocals, which sets the tone, as it encapsulates the atmosphere of the rest of the project. This track is especially one of the more trap influenced songs on the project. Whereas, on top of that, songs like tracks number 4, ‘Bittersweet’ and number 5, ‘Cut Ties’ feature more R&B based production, which add a more emotional aspect to the mixtape, and display the versatility of TheGoldenWayUp.
Another R&B focused track off of the project that must be discussed is the lead single, ‘Daytime Nurse’. This is another one of those songs that does a great job at compiling the energy of the tape, with the dark melodic melodies, and the smooth vocals to tie the track together.
