Uche just dropped an insane song with Pyrex Whippa…
Uche, a Chicago-raised rapper who is known for pushing the boundaries of trap music and transforming it into his own unique sound, has been gaining traction online with the release of his new Album, “HOW TO DIE”. This album contains 12 songs, all of which are packed with great production, extraordinary flows, and smooth, melancholic vocals.
Out of these 12 tracks, the one that must be discussed is the standout track, “FN”. This song features production by 808 Mafia producer, Pyrex Whippa, who has produced for the likes of trap legends Young Thug and Future, as well as other superstars such as Lil Yachty, Offset, etc. Uche has even stated that Young Thug was one of the artists that inspired him, which is distinguishable throughout this song, and throughout parts of the album as well.

This song also features an astonishing cinematic music video to accompany it, which was also self-directed by Uche himself. Something that is gathered throughout Uche’s work is how vision-oriented he is, all of his songs and the videos that coincide with them take you to his own creative world sonically. “FN” is one of those tracks, that at track 4 on the album, really just set the tone for the rest of the project. The dark melodies, punchy drums, and the crisp vocals all tie together to make this a future trap anthem.
Some other favorites off of the album have to be the energetic intro track, “RICKY BOBBY”, as well as the heartfelt “sins above me”. Both of these tracks bring different emotions to the project, with “RICKY BOBBY” starting off with the super hard trap drums and the clean vocals. Whereas with “sins above me”, you get to see a more vulnerable side of Uche, with the RnB-esque drums, and the addicting soulful melodies. The contrast between these two tracks really display the versatility of Uche, and show he is not afraid to push boundaries.
There is surely a reason that this album has been gaining traction, while some make claims that the title was a unique choice, everyone can agree that the project is undeniable, and Uche’s creative direction for “HOW TO DIE” was spot on. The album is said by Uche to be about self-reflection and the sacrificial nature that comes with trying to evolve.
