Who is vv$kaiyo? Here’s a look at his song “This Life”
vv$kaiyo is one of my friends that has been tapped in with ORS for such a long time at this point. He just dropped off a recent album titled ‘Eclipse,’ but today, I want to showcase his song ‘This Life,’ which personally, I think is his most polished and impressive song to date. The ethereal melodies, Pi’erre Bourne influenced production, and summer-esque vibes are sprinkled all throughout the song, making it the perfect listen for the current change of weather that most of us are experiencing all across the US right now. His positivity radiates throughout not only the song, but his aesthetic as well, which is super colorful .
You can take a look at that and get an understanding for yourself with the photo on the left - one of the fit pics he posted to Instagram a few months back in ATL.

For some more background into vv$kaiyo, the abbreviation of the “vv$” within his name refers to the group “very vacant souls.” That’s also his Instagram handle. Another body of work from him that I want to touch on is his 2022 album, “So Many Thoughts.” It’s the best introduction to him as an artist, although the newest album he just put out, ‘Eclipse,’ is a much more developed work of art.
Songs like ‘Fantastic 4’ carry more of that ethereal sound, and definitely give off an ATL influence. It’s easy to see just how far kaiyo has come in his flow and his ability to spit melodies. Songs like ‘Perc’ are definitely influenced by artists like OsamaSon in the scene too, adding a layer of variety to the album that I absolutely can appreciate.
kaiyo covers the vast expanse of sounds that are currently buzzing in the underground, and that’s something I love. If you’re a fan of ‘This Life,’ what I think is the best introduction to him as an artist, go check out ‘Eclipse’ and his other work to immerse yourself even further within his sound. Much love family <3
